WEATHER UPDATE | Area parking bans, entities closed today because of snow storm


These communities have snow emergency bans due to the snow storm. During the ban, vehicles are to be removed from streets. Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense:

Boardman: Until further notice.

Struthers: Until further notice.

Poland: In effect until 4 p.m. Friday.

Campbell: In effect until 5 p.m. Friday.

Brookfield: Until further notice.

Austintown: Until 3 p.m. Thursday.

Youngstown: Until further notice.

Weathersfield Township: Until midnight Sunday.

These entities were closed Wednesday. Check to see when they will reopen if not listed here:

Warren-Trumbull County Public Library; Public Libraries of Youngstown and Mahoning County closed at 2 p.m. and a decision on Thursday's opening will be made Thursday morning.

Youngstown State University. The campus will reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Campbell City offices. They will reopen Thursday.

The Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association meeting.

Downtown YMCA, 17 N. Champion St.

The Bazetta-Cortland Optimist Club’s Thursday evening bingo event has been canceled.

The Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave., Youngstown. The museum will reopen at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The Area Agency on Aging 11 Inc. The agency has an employee phone line to let employees know if the agency will be open Thursday.

OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, 11 W. Federal St., Youngstown. It will reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Mahoning County Courthouse, offices. They will reopen Thursday.
