Warren authorities investigating death of 2-month-old Christmas day

Police and the Trumbull County coroner are investigating the death of a 2-month-old baby at an apartment on Shalom Avenue Northwest Christmas day.

The mother, Amanda Martin, 23, reported finding the baby, Delshawn Porterfield, dead at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday.

Martin reported that the boy went to bed in his crib at 10 p.m. Monday, and she checked on him several times during the night, the last time being at 2 a.m.

A call to the Trumbull County Coroner’s office was not returned Wednesday.
