Shannon M. O’Hara and Joseph L. Seifert, both of McDonald, were united in marriage Aug. 4 at St. Brendan Church. The Revs. William J. Loveless and David Gilbert officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The couple received guests at a reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.

Parents of the newlyweds are Joseph and Irene O’Hara of Youngstown and Lawrence and Vivian Seifert of Liberty.

Heather Lowers, the groom’s sister, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Bennett; Kelly Bartolec, the bride’s cousin; and Amanda Nagy. Taylor Rudolphi was flower girl. The attendants wore malibu-blue dresses.

The groom’s brother-in-law, Jim Lowers, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Adam Detwiler, Steve Harvey and Jameson Mogul. Franki Bartolec, the bride’s cousin, was ring bearer. The groom’s cousin, Brian Oslavic, served as an usher.

The bride wore a strapless organza ball gown with a satin bodice, adorned with beaded embroidery and a chapel train.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from Youngstown State University. She works in the compliance department at Falcon Transport in Youngstown.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University. He is a security officer at Cleveland Horseshoe Casino.

After a honeymoon cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, St. Thomas, American Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten Island, the couple reside in McDonald.
