Dr. Joni Marie Maga of Boardman and Bryan Edmond Sereny of Miami, Fla., exchanged vows April 13 in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The Rev. Jose Lopez officiated at the 4:30 p.m. wedding ceremony.

A reception followed at Zoetry, Parisio de La Bonita Resort, Puerto Morales, Mexico.

Parents of the bride are JoAnn M. and Raymond A. Maga of Boardman. Marcelle and Dr. Peter Sereny of Hartford, Conn. are the parents of the groom.

After a wedding trip to Bali, Indonesia, the couple reside in South Beach, Fla.

The bride wore a strapless Alecon lace cathedral-length gown and veil.

Christina Rae Hughes, sister of the bride, wearing a lapis gown, was matron of honor. Junior bridesmaids, wearing white organza with lapis accented gowns, were Anna, Jenna, Dayna and Nina Hughes, nieces of the bride.

Rolan and Robert Sereny, brothers of the groom, shared the duties of best man. Ring bearer was William Hernandez, godson of the groom.

Ushers were Joel Hughes, brother-in-law of the bride; Jaime Blumenfield; Nathanial Higgs; and Chad Taylor.

The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, received a medical degree from Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine. She is chief of anesthesiology at University of Miami Hospital.

The groom is a self-employed Realtor in Miami and earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University.
