YOUNGSTOWN

It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas as Anthony Palumbo, general manager of Dooney’s Downtown Bar and Grill, wiped the winter dirt from a large window at his downtown Youngstown establishment.

What he didn’t notice was the twinkling reflection from the city’s Christmas tree in the window.

All around downtown signs of the Christmas holiday were evident.

Motorists and pedestrians alike got into the holiday spirit by taking a little extra time to view the holiday decorations.

The windows in many downtown apartment and office buildings framed decorated trees. Storefront windows sported holiday decorations and lights, while the city’s Christmas tree served as the annual icon of the holiday season.
