St. Columba Cathedral provided the setting for the Aug. 18 exchange of vows between Kimberly Kowach and Joseph Flood, both of Youngstown. The Rev. John Keehner officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding ceremony.

A reception followed at the Byzantine Center at the Grove.

Parents of the bride are Penny and Chris Hood and Steve and Carol Kowach of Youngstown. The groom is a son of Winnie Flood of Youngstown and the late Daniel Flood.

After a wedding trip to Santa Lucia, the couple reside in Boardman.

The bride wore a fit-and- flare gown featuring layers of organza and feathers on the skirt, and a sweetheart neckline was adorned with lace appliques.

Jaclyn Kowach, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor, and Mary Dorney, the groom’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Flood, the groom’s sister-in-law; Jennifer Gasser, the groom’s sister; Melissa and Michelle Flood, the groom’s sisters-in-law; Anne Flood, the groom’s sister; and Ashley Miller and Juliann Bush. The attendants wore black dresses.

Isabella Dorney, the groom’s niece, was flower girl.

The groom’s brothers, Ken and Brian Flood, shared the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Dan Flood, the groom’s brother; Jason Gasser, the groom’s brother-in-law; Mike Flood, the groom’s brother; Ty Dorney, the groom’s brother-in-law; Jered Hochadale, the bride’s brother; and Nick Lucarell and Nic Farrant. Danny Flood, the groom’s nephew, was ring bearer.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Youngstown State University, and the groom also is a graduate of YSU.

The bride is a payroll and human resources administrator for the Cafaro Co.
