Beatitude House looks for new exec director

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

Sister Patricia McNicholas, executive director of Beatitude House, will transition into a new role as senior development officer while a new executive director will be selected by summer 2013.

Sister Patricia came to Beatitude House in 1996 as the director of the Potter’s Wheel, the arm of the organization that now houses the Services for English Language Learners program and Beatitude House Green Clean.

She became the executive director in 2001 when the founder, Sister Margaret Sheetz, died.

She will remain resident manager of the organization’s transitional- housing site on the North Side of Youngstown.

A transition team already has been formed to help with planning for the change and will work to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership.

Beatitude House, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, is committed to all disadvantaged women and children.

By creating homes, providing educational opportunities and fostering healthy families, they provide them with the opportunity to transform their lives.
