Trustee Ditzler ends long career in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN

Colleagues, friends and family bid a fond farewell to outgoing Trustee David C. Ditzler at Thursday’s trustees meeting.

“Few people that I know represent people the way David does,” said Bo Pritchard, former trustee with Ditzler.

Ditzler resigned from the board after 19 years to join the Mahoning County commissioners after being elected in November.

“I’m very blessed and very honored to have been a trustee for 19 years,” Ditzler said to a full house at the meeting.

Ditzler added that he has been trustee for 456 board meetings and attended 454 of them.

“I made sure we were present,” he said.
