Pee Wee Phantoms post shutout victory

The Youngstown Phantoms Peewee AA team got back on the winning track when it hosted the third-place North Pittsburgh Wildcats last Saturday at the Ice Zone.

The Phantoms offense erupted for three second-period goals and three third-period goals for a 6-0 victory in the Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League contest.

The first goal was scored at the 8:36 mark of the second period when Robbie Stanko (Canfield) took a pass from Devin Whitaker to Mike Fetsko (both of Boardman) and found an opening. Two minutes later, Bo Gray (Boardman) scored from Justin Beachler. The final goal of the period was delivered by Maguire Franko (Poland) from Tallon Price(Poland) and RJ Pozzuto.

One minute into the third period, Pozzuto scored off an assist from Beachler. At the 5:33 mark of the period, Stone Elias (Canfield) got on the scoreboard with assists from Sebastiano Layne and Fetsko. The sixth goal of the game came with 50 seconds remaining. Justin Beachler got his first goal as a Phantom assisted by Elias.

Goalie Nick Beck (Boardman) recorded a shutout after facing 14 shots.
