Canfield sophomore Connor Brady placed second in the 100-yard butterfly and third in the 100 backstroke to lead the Cards’ swimmers at the annual Christmas Invitational at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton last weekend. Brady also joined senior Nicholas Montalto and juniors Michael DiDomenico and Daniel Bogen on the fifth-place 200 free relay. Brady, Montalto and Bogen joined senior Mike Cardone on the sixth-place 400 free relay, while Montalto placed fifth in the 50 free.

Canfield sophomore Sarah Heaven was fifth in the 100 back and joined juniors Mallory Allen and Olivia Williamson and freshman Theresa Mikolay on the eighth-place 200 medley relay.

The meet, which draws the best teams from across Ohio, is considered a preview of February’s state meet, which is also at C.T. Branin.
