2 Warren house fires cause $27K in damages
WARREN — Firefighters were called to a fire at an apartment in Trumbull Homes at 3:14 a.m. this morning that caused $7,000 in damage but no injuries.
It damaged a second-floor bedroom at 2083 N. Feederle Ave. SE, but the occupants got out, Fire Chief Ken Nussle said.
The residents received housing assistance from the American Red Cross.
The fire caused $4,000 in damage to the apartment and $3,000 to the contents. The cause is not known, but it doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
A 2 p.m. Thursday fire at 2435 Northwest Boulevard Northwest apparently started because of abandoned smoking materials, Nussle said. That fire caused $20,000 in damage and dislodged three occupants but caused no injuries.
