Everyone involved in a four-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 near Belmont Avenue on Wednesday avoided injuries, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

A trooper said the accident happened around 5:20 p.m. when a westbound car rear-ended a slower-moving car in the left lane. The car then swerved into the right lane and sideswiped a semi, he said.

The car that was rear-ended hit another car, he said.

The accident shut down the left lane for an hour.

Cited for assured clear distance was Nikolas Kakavros, 31, of Austintown, who was the driver of the car that rear-ended the slower car.
