Cops seek man who fled

CAMPBELL

Police are looking for a man who fled during a traffic stop. Luis J. Colon, 31, of East Dewey Avenue, Youngstown, is being sought after he stopped his car and fled on foot at about 1:30 p.m. Monday.

An officer tried to stop Colon’s car on Gladstone Street because of objects hanging from his rearview mirror that obstructed his view, a police report says.

Colon’s car was still in drive when he left it and began to run, falling in front of the police cruiser, the report says. He was ordered to lie on the ground but got up and fled into a park, rolling down a hill and hitting his head on a glass bottle.

He got up and continued to run. The officer chased him but lost sight of him.
