Ribbon-cutting set for pharmacy

Ribbon-cutting set for pharmacy

youngstown

A ribbon-cutting will be at 10 a.m. Thursday for One Health Ohio’s Quality of Life Meds Pharmacy, 726 Wick Ave., on the city’s North Side.

The new pharmacy offers improved coordination of care as medical prescriptions are transmitted electronically immediately from the attending physician after the conclusion of the patient appointment at One Health Ohio’s Youngstown Community Health Center at the Wick Avenue site.

The patient simply walks over to the new pharmacy to pick up prescriptions from a registered pharmacist, who is available to offer advice and education.

This one-stop-shop approach solves any transportation issues that may arise for patients.

Company to give check to food bank

Hermitage, PA.

JFS Wealth Advisors will present a $3,644 check to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County at the food provider’s annual board meeting Thursday.

The check is the result of a yearlong effort in which JFS employees took part in various in-house fundraisers, including raffles, bake sales and casual jeans day.

Employees voted to support the organization in 2011.

The warehouse does not supply food directly to clients but solicits local grocers, retailers and food manufacturers for low-cost food products and warehouses them for its member food pantries and agencies.

It is the primary source of emergency food assistance in Mercer County.
