Fitness classes set for JCC

YOUNGSTOWN

Fitness classes will be offered at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.

Classes offered are Mommy and Me Gymboree (newborns to 18 months) 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. and Mommy and Me Gymboree (19 months to 31/2 years) 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., both classes on Mondays Jan. 7 through Feb. 25 or March 4 through April 22, $80 for members and $96 for nonmembers; and Gymbalaya (3 to 5 years) 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. and (5 to 7 years) 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesdays Jan. 1 through Feb. 19 or March 5 through April 23, $80 for members and $96 for nonmembers.

YMCA offers computer training

YOUNGSTOWN

YMCA of Youngstown, 17 N. Champion St., will offer basic computer and Internet training classes for adults who are first-time computer users.

The training is free and part of Connect Ohio’s Every Citizen Online program.

Training includes six hours of coursework that include computer basics, introduction to the Internet and overview of the benefits of using the Internet.

Three sessions will be available: 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 8, 10 and 15; 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 22, 24 and 29; and 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 5, 7 and 12.

Center hosts winter swim lessons

SALEM

Salem Community Center will host a session of swim lessons beginning Jan. 12 through March 2.

Six learn to swim levels are available including a Mommy and Me for infants and their parent. Instructors are America Red Cross WSI certified.

Cost is $55 for members and $70 for nonmembers. Multiple-child discounts are available. To register call the center at 330-332-5885.
