Mission gets grant
WARREN
Board members from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mahoning Valley and Western Pennsylvania gave a $2,000 grant to the Warren Family Mission last week that will be used to help local children.
“We’re pleased to provide vital support to this outstanding program that advances Ronald McDonald House Charities’ mission of lifting children to a better tomorrow,” said Herb Washington, RMHC board president and McDonald’s owner/operator.
Warren Family Mission will use the money to buy toys for the organization’s annual toy giveaway program. The nonprofit mission feeds, clothes and shelters homeless men, women and children and provides free after-school programs and drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
Warren rape arrest
WARREN
Police arrested Timothy Tenney, 21, of South Feederle Avenue and Woodbine Avenue Southeast late last week on a warrant charging him with kidnapping, rape and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
A Trumbull County grand jury indicted Tenney on the charges last week.
The date of the offenses was July 28, according to records from county common pleas court.
E. Side toy giveaway

East Side Crime Watch, 1001 Oak St. (corner of Oak and Fruit streets), will have a giveaway for children 6 months to 10 years old from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday. Toys and clothing will be offered to the first 35 families only. There is a limit of two children per family; no exceptions. Take proof of birth and your own bags.
