Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. Both students began playing their instruments in the fifth grade.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Nicole: The best memory in marching band was going to Massillon every year for Band Night. I enjoyed going to Cedar Point with all my friends from band.

Marisha: My best memories are going to New Orleans to play the BCS National Championship Game in my junior year. I also enjoyed going to Disney World, but the most memorable is definitely the trip to New Orleans. I also participated in Ensemble at Solo and Ensemble competitions and received a “1.”

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Nicole: Music is important to me because it lets me express who I am.

Marisha: Music lets me express myself. It is also fun — you meet some great people and go on fun trips. The memories you make will be some of the best you’ve ever had.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. Nicole: I would like to attend Youngstown State University and major in early childhood education.

Marisha: I hope to attend Harvard and study law.
