Nona's Family Closet moves to Niles

Nona’s Family Closet, a consignment store formerly located in Girard, has completed its move to Pinetree Square Plaza at 36 Youngstown-Warren Road.

The store sells brand-name clothing, with consignors receiving 40 percent of the sale price.

In the coming weeks, owner Nona Sorokach said she has plans to expand the store. A 4,000-square-foot space will be cleared to accommodate more furniture, which the store currently sells.

“People wanted a bigger store,” Sorokach said. “I had to listen, and we didn’t have the room at the Girard location anymore. When this space became available, I jumped on it.”

Since November, when Nona’s Closet first moved into its new space at the shopping plaza, Sorokach said she’s noticed more business as a result of the new high-traffic location.
