Katie Taybus | Robert Lovell


Katie Taybus and Robert Lovell, both of Columbus, were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at St. Columba Cathedral. The ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. John Keehner, and a reception took place at the Maronite Center.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Pamela Taybus of Poland.

Parents of the groom are Merle R. and Lucia Lovell, also of Poland.

The bride’s strapless silk satin gown featured a crumb-catcher neckline and was trimmed with asymmetrical ruching, handmade flower petals and Swarovski crystals.

Honor attendants were Ashley Taybus, sister of the bride, and Juli Putnam. They wore black dresses, as did bridesmaids Elyse Aracich, Emily Tocco, Ashley Alexoff, Lisa Ortiz, Jodi Mrosko, Sara Stanovcak, Melissa Chance and Gina Cappuccio, cousin of the groom.

Christopher and Dante Lovell, brothers of the groom, performed the duties of best men. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Wolcott; Ricky DiMuzio and P.J. Cappuccio, cousins of the groom; Bryan Briggs; Brandon Fine; Mark Loeser; Noah Sudow; and Matthew DiMuzio, cousin of the groom.

The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and is a director of marketing for Ohio Association of Broadcasters in Athens, Ohio. The groom received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and logistics from Ohio State University and is a senior digital strategist for Resource in Columbus.

After a wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple are living in Columbus.
