Boy at basketball game accidentally shot himself

YOUNGSTOWN

The 15-year-old boy shot in the leg during a basketball game at a South Side church has admitted to police that he accidently shot himself with a firearm he had been carrying inside the church.

Police Chief Rod Foley said police are still investigating, but the matter will be taken to the juvenile prosecutors Monday and the boy may be facing criminal charges.

The boy initially told police a man in all black wearing a ski mask came into the church and shot him.
