Boardman Park hosted a dinner for families to participate in supper with Santa Dec. 5, where children sat on Santa’s lap and told him what they wanted for Christmas, took photos, and did a variety of crafts.

The event took place in the Lariccia Family Community Center, with dinner being served in one of the center’s rooms and activities in the other.

Some of the crafts available to make included making Santa ornaments to hang on Christmas trees and making scenes involving Santa and his reindeer.

There were many photo opportunities, as well. Children put on Santa costumes or stood behind cutouts of a Christmas scene.

“I think this event is just awesome,” said Jennifer Janice, a mother who took her children to the Santa supper event. “The program is very nice. You get to meet such nice people from the community. We will definitely be back here next year.”

The Santa supper event is one of many events that Boardman Park puts on every year, including events for children, adults, or the whole family. For a complete listing of future events, visit the park’s website at www.boardmanpark.com.
