Personal checks not accepted after Saturday to pay Lawrence Co. property taxes

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The Lawrence County Treasurer’s office will not accept any personal checks for property taxes after Saturday. The treasurer’s office will accept cash, money order, cashier’s check or Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card.

Any property taxes not paid by Dec. 31 will be filed with the Tax Claim Bureau, and the property owner will incur additional costs. For information, call 724-656-2124.
