Boardman escapes in overtime

Marrissa Hanna scored six of her 16 points in overtime as Boardman outscored Massillon Perry 8-5 in the extra session for a 47-44 win Saturday afternoon. The Spartans avoided losing a game they led by 10 points entering the fourth quarter. Kelly Tomcsanyi added 20 points — all of them in the first three quarters. For Perry, Bri McCaulley scored 15 points.
Jackson-Milton 58, Sebring 28

Rebecca Jones, Brittany Schnellbach and Zaina Sahli scored 14, 12 and 10 points respectively for the Bluejays (3-1) who used a 20-point third quarter to take a 44-24 lead. The Trojans got 14 points from Kelsi Settle and 10 more from Murphy Flowers.
Brookfield 60, Niles 26

Lauren Hawley scored 15 points to lead a balanced attack for the Warriors (2-1). After taking a 24-14 lead at the break, Brookfield scored 22 points in the third quarter to take a 46-19 advantage into the final eight minutes. Megan Morris scored nine points for Niles (2-3).
Canfield 59, Cardinal Mooney 30

Sabrina Mangapora scored a game-high 20 points and Abby Baker and Allison Pavlansky each had 11 as Canfield (3-0) won a non-conference battle of Cardinals. Macy Marlowe led Cardinal Mooney (2-2) with nine points and Jamie DiDomenico had eight.

Jordan Monnot scored 18 points and Hannah Lemmon had 12 as the Leopards (3-1, 2-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference) defeated the Warriors (3-1, 1-1). Pavin Heath led West Branch with 11 points, Brittany Bryte added nine and Melinda Trimmer had eight. Erica Johnson had four points and a team-high nine rebounds for the Warriors. Clara Lemmon had eight points and 10 rebounds for Louisville.
