Rascal Flatts has added a winter leg to its “Changed” tour that will include a Feb. 22 concert at Covelli Centre. Opening the show for the country music supergroup will be The Band Perry and Kristen Kelly.
Tickets are $74.75 and $49.75 (additional fees may apply) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 at all Ticketmaster locations, Livenation.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at the Covelli box office.
Country is always a strong draw in Youngstown, and Rascal Flatts will be the latest in a string of shows by country stars at the downtown arena.
This year alone saw Miranda Lambert play Covelli on Feb. 18, followed by Sugarland April 6, Eric Church May 12, and Chris Young Nov. 18. All played to full or nearly-full houses at the 5,800-seat arena.
“Country was something we had our eye on when we took over the building in 2008,” said Eric Ryan, director of Covelli Centre. “It was something the building had not had much of before our management team took over. Country sells extremely well here now and success stories are always the best ways to get [more] shows. Sold-out shows like Miranda Lambert, Sugarland and Carrie Underwood help us tell the agents why their act makes sense in Youngstown.”
Rascal Flatts’ eighth studio album, “Changed,” was released April 3. It includes the hits “Banjo” and “Come Wake Me Up.”
The band’s seven albums released since 2000 have all gone platinum, producing 26 top 20 singles, and 12 No. 1 hits.
