Valley sisters earn award at ‘Twins Festival’

Twin sisters Rose Pacolo and Sister Charlotte Italiano participated in the annual twins event in Twinsburg, Ohio, Aug. 3-5. This was their sixth time participating in the festival.

The theme this year was “Superheroes” and Rose and Charlotte made their appearances as Wonder Woman in the “Double Take” parade, where Pacolo and Italiano took the bronze medal, riding on the antique fire engine.

More than 1,800 sets of twins and triplets, ages ranging from newborn to 97 came to the festival.

Pocalo is a resident of Boardman and Italiano is the director of Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten in Canfield.
