Police: Pa. man scattered wife's panties along highway

CANONSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A southwestern Pennsylvania man has been jailed because police say he scattered his wife’s panties along township roads because he was angry that she got a protection-from-abuse order against him.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for 54-year-old James Klutch, of North Strabane Township.

Township police say Klutch’s wife got the order against her estranged husband on Tuesday and that he returned to her home anyway and hit her in the chest that night.

Police couldn’t find Klutch to arrest him, however, before he returned sometime early Wednesday and took his wife’s underwear, which he tossed out of his vehicle along three roads in the township about 15 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Police say Klutch was arrested later Wednesday when he was stopped, drunk, walking from a restaurant.
