Eagles release Vallos; Ravens release Kitchen

The Philadelphia Eagles released center Steve Vallos, a Boardman High graduate who signed with the team in the offseason.

Vallos, who was drafted by the Seahawks and also played for the Browns, was one of 22 cuts made Friday as NFL teams were required to get down to the 53-player limit.

Also, Cardinal Mooney High graduate Ishmaa'ily Kitchen was released by the Baltimore Ravens but could be headed to the team's practice squad. Kitchen signed with the team in April as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State.

Other local players on the bubble today are Buccaneers safety Sean Baker (Canfield), who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in April, and Packers cornerback Brandian Ross (Packers), who spent last season on the team's practice squad.
