Police: Boy, 14, fathered Pa. woman’s baby

CLAYSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania woman is facing felony sex charges after she gave birth to a baby allegedly fathered by a 14-year-old boy.

Police say 20-year-old Brittany Lenay Weyandt delivered the baby last week. She was arrested on Tuesday and remains behind bars at the Blair County Prison.

The Altoona Mirror reports the teen’s mother contacted police after Weyandt approached her with a sonogram. The boy later told police he frequently had unprotected sex with Weyandt starting in December.

Weyandt, of Queen, doesn’t have an attorney listed in court records. She’s charged with statutory sexual assault and other counts.

Greenfield Township Police Chief Ron Givler says the baby is staying with Weyandt’s mother.
