FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

UPCOMING

Southington United Methodist Church, Route 305 and 534, will have a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Sept. 5. The menu comprises one-quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and dessert. Cost of an adult meal is $8; children’s meal includes chicken tenders for ages 4 to 10 for $4, and kids 3 and under eat free. Carryouts will be available. Call the church at 330-898-2156, and dinner will be ready when you arrive.

Hanover Township Ruritan annual chicken barbecue will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Ruritan Hall, Second Street, Hanoverton. Advance tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for children. Contact any club member or call Bill McKarns at 330-223-2180 or Jim Means at 330-337-0492 for tickets.
