Springfield's Kibby promoted to White Sox's A team

Springfield High graduate Todd Kibby was promoted to the Chicago White Sox's Class A team, the Kannapolis (N.C.) Intimidators.

Kibby, who turns 22 on Friday, will make his first start for Kannapolis on Thursday. He went 5-4 with a 2.79 ERA in 11 games for the Bristol White Sox of the Rookie Appalachian League.
