Scrappers event will benefit Marisa Kay Vincent

The Marisa Kay Scrappers benefit will be Friday at Eastwood Field. A tailgate party and Scrappers Best Dog-gone Chili cook-off also will feature two bands.

Tickets are $8 and are available at Buffalo Wild Wings, Great East Plaza through 8 p.m. Thursday.

Gates open at 1:30 p.m. Entertainment includes fireworks display, basket auction, kids activities and Scrappers v. Auburn Doubledays game. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Marisa Kay Vincent is a 7-year-old Howland girl who was severely injured in an accident involving a bobcat loader in May.

Proceeds will help provide a handicapped home and vehicle modifications. Donations may be mailed to The Marisa Kay Project, 25 North Road SE, Warren, OH 44484.
