Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, open exercise at 9 a.m., blood pressure checks and painting class ($5) at 9:30, bingo at 10 and intermediate computer class at noon; Tuesday, Vets Helping Vets and bingo at 10 a.m., bridge club and Zumba at 10:30, tacos and trivia ($3) at 11:30 and cards at noon; Wednesday, open exercise at 9 a.m. and bingo and movie, “Joyful Noise,” at 10; Thursday, yoga ($2) and open exercise at 9:30 a.m., bingo at 10, beginners crochet at 10:30 and monthly birthday party, 50-50 raffle and lottery raffle at 11:30; and Friday, Canfield Fair trip and Wii practice at 9 a.m., bingo and discussion group at 10, intermediate yoga/tai chi at 10:30, Wii bowling tournament at 11:30 and beginners computer class at noon. Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., has planned the following: Monday, legislative update with state Sen. Capri Cafaro of Liberty, D-32nd,at 9 a.m., morning stretch class at 9:30 and knitting and crocheting at 10; Tuesday, exercise at 9:30 a.m. and yoga ($3 for members, $5 for nonmembers) 10:15 to 11:15; Wednesday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., computer class at 10, health screenings 10 to noon, Windsor House seminar at 11:30, luau potluck luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. and yoga 3 to 4; Thursday, exercise at 9:30 a.m. and yoga 10:15 to 11:15; and Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and tai chi at noon ($5). Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained qualified volunteers to serve as advocates.
