Tri-State 1st Banc, Inc., holding company for 1st National Community Bank, has appointed John P. Scotford Jr. to the board of directors. He fills the vacancy on the board created by the retirement of John P. Scotford.

Construction

Hudson Miramont, a near-300-unit luxury apartment community in the Southwest Hill Country of Austin, Texas, recently won the Austin Apartment Association’s Property of the Year Award, for being one of the best properties in the Austin market. In 2006, Hudson Companies of Hermitage, Pa., acquired the 43-acre development, which is a resort-styled community.

Insurance

Allstate Insurance Company recognized agency owner Peggy Gum and personal financial representative Bill Marwood with the circle of champions award for high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and financial services sales.

Diana Pringey of Gem-Young Insurance & Financial Services in Canfield recently became a member of a select group of State Auto independent agents — the PaceSetter agents.

The Marcellus Shale Coalition has added two staff members.

Andrew Paterson, an engineer by trade, joins the MSC as vice president of technical and regulatory affairs. Over the past year, Paterson has, through an agreement with MSC member company Talisman Energy USA, worked on the MSC’s staff, providing regulatory expertise. Additionally, Shari Williams joins the organization as a community outreach manager in southeastern Pennsylvania.
