Meetings to focus on OPERS’ plans’ changes

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System will conduct two town-hall meetings to discuss changes to OPERS’ pension and health care plans at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday.

The sessions will be in the Gallery of Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University. The sessions, which are open to the public, will outline proposed changes to OPERS health care and pension for retirees.

YSU black alumni set reunion event

The 2012 Youngstown State University Black Alumni Chapter Reunion will be Oct. 12 and 13. The activities planned are a meet and greet, a forum and a dinner and dance.

The meet and greet is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 12, tentatively at the Lemon Grove, West Federal Street (old Rosetta Stone location).

The forum is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 13 in Moser Hall at YSU. The dinner/dance is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 13. The location is to be determined and ticket information will be forthcoming.
