Southeast uses early lead to top N.F.; Rootstown rolls up win over Sebring

RAVENNA

Brandon Olson ran for two TDs and caught another to lead Southeast, which ran past visiting Newton Falls 55-26 in a high school football game Thursday.

Todd Hopkins ran for a TD and caught a TD pass and Ben Forepaugh added two TD runs for Newton Falls.

The Tigers fell behind 18-0 after one quarter.

Southeast out-rushed Newton Falls 344-181 and forced two fumbles.

Rootstown 46, Sebring 19

Sebring

Junior Dylan Mick, Zac Wagner and QB Alex Wheeler had one rushing TD apiece for Sebring, which fell behind, 20-0 after one quarter.

Mick’s 1-yard run followed a 57-yard gain by the tailback, while Wagner, a senior TB, had a 21-yard gain shortly before scoring from 1 yard out for the Trojans. Wheeler, a sophomore, scored from the 18-yard line.

Both Mick and Wagner had 102 yards — Mick on 15 carries and Wagner via eight for Sebring, which had 233 total yards (included 5 passing) for Sebring.
