The Briarfield Group hosted its third annual Paintings in the Park art show on Aug. 14 to coincide with the Austintown Township Park Concert Series.
While the Jim Frank Combo entertained with polkas and big band sounds, residents from Ashley Circle, Autumn Hills, The Inn at Christine Valley, The Manor at Autumn Hills, The Ridge, and Victoria House showed off the art they created during weekly painting classes.
Earlier this summer, the paintings were featured at an exhibit at the Davis Family YMCA in Boardman and many of the paintings will now go to the Fine Arts Show at the Canfield Fair.
Painting instructor Suzanne Gray created a photo montage using the faces of all the painting students and many of the paintings they created. The main image, “Brilliant Display,” was painted by Lois Dieter of the Manor.
