Book signing set at Dale Shaffer Library

Richard Theiss, author of “Surprise, Surprise,” will be at Salem Historical Society’s Dale Shaffer Research Library, on Dale Shaffer Way, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday for a book signing.

Theiss is a local resident, and his book centers around his son, Shawn, and the creation of a cutting-edge aviation technology firm.

Their company, Theiss Aviation, is represented in the industrial exhibit of the library with their first ultralight plane hanging from the ceiling of the two-story exhibit area.
