The Boardman girls volleyball team finished 13-9 overall and 6-6 in the Federal League last season, but will look to improve upon that this fall.

The squad will be led by seniors Lauren Davila, Molly Lyons and Caitlin Cina. Backing them up are juniors Faith Saunders, Megan Volosin, Katie Seeco, and Taylor Prebble and sophomores Amanda Lipke and Cailin Downie.

Coach Danielle Siembida said that there is a very positive outlook for the team.

“The girls have been working hard and have the ability to compete with everyone we play. We are currently implementing some new offensive strategies and working out some of the bugs defensively,” she explained. “The team as a whole is motivated to be successful. We are all on the same page when it comes to where the team and the program want to be. Every player has a role and a responsibility on the team, and when everyone does their job like they can it will be fun to watch.”

According to Siembida, Massillon Jackson and North Canton Hoover will be the teams to beat in the Federal League.
