Cause determined for West Side home fire Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN — Firefighters have determined the cause and damage estimate of a Saturday fire at a West Side home.

The damage to the property at 33 Bouquet Ave. was estimated at $20,000 and damage to the contents was estimated at $6,000, according to records.

Fire reports say the cause was unintentional and began from a spark from a power source to the man’s television.

The fire was reported Saturday afternoon after neighbors saw smoke coming from the two-story house.
