Boy who was struck by car is in stable condition

A 14-year-old who was struck by a car over the weekend was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the injury happened after the boy ran into the street without looking. According to a media release from the Warren Post of the highway patrol, the accident occurred Sunday afternoon along state Route 304 near Keefer Road. The boy was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was listed in critical condition, before he was flown to University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
The 21-year-old driver of the car immediately stopped after hitting the child, said the highway patrol. No charges have been filed, but the crash remains under investigation.
