Dozens of cars vandalized at Akron dealership

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Police here are investigating vandalism at an auto dealership over the weekend that damaged dozens of cars with spray paint.

WJW-TV reports an employee for a Volkswagen dealership in Akron discovered the damaged cars early Sunday morning, which included variations of graffiti on car hoods and windows.

Police say most of the cars were spray painted, including a large smiley face on one car’s hood. Some cars sustained roof damage, dents and broken windows.

A dealership manager tells the station the damaged vehicles have been moved inside for repairs. The dealership has not estimated the total cost of damages.
