Two men were in the Mahoning County jail today after police found copper wire in their van.

Anthony Sabino, 58, of Hamilton Street, Warren, and Ronald Stickle, 46, of Mantua, each was charged with possessing criminal tools, breaking and entering and receiving stolen property.

A police officer on patrol saw the men loading rolled copper into a van parked on the side of Salt Springs Road about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The officer saw an AT&T sticker on the wire. A ladder was found near the AT&T fenced in area, and an AT&T employee took police to the area where the wire was believed to have been taken. The value is estimated at between $10,000 and $15,000.
