Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, open exercise at 9 a.m., blood pressure checks and painting class ($5) at 9:30, Ask the Social Worker and bingo at 10 and intermediate computer class at noon; Tuesday, Vets Helping Vets, line dancing and bingo at 10 a.m., bridge club at 10:30 and cards and dogs at 11:30; Wednesday, bingo at 10 a.m., movie, “An Affair to Remember” at 1 p.m. and dinner at O’Donold’s at 5; Thursday, trip to Wheeling at 9 a.m., yoga ($2) and open exercise at 9:30, bingo at 10, beginning crochet at 11:30 and cards at noon; and Friday, Wii practice at 9 a.m., bingo and discussion group at 10, Wii bowling tournament at 11:30 and beginners computer class at noon. Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., has planned the following: Monday, knitting and crocheting at 10 a.m. and Red Hat Ladies meet at Antone’s on Belmont Avenue near Giant Eagle at 11:30; Tuesday, exercise at 9:30 a.m., tribute to Andy Griffith movie at 10, yoga ($3 for members, $5 for others) 10:15 to 11:15 and nutrition/healthy living at 10:30; Wednesday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., computer class at 10, health screenings 10 a.m. to noon and yoga 3 to 4 p.m.; Thursday, exercise at 9:30 a.m. and yoga 10:15 to 11:15; Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., tai chi at noon ($5). Warren S.C.O.P.E. Center, 220 W. Market St., is serving breakfast for members only at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28. The topic will be “S.C.O.P.E. Today” by Ralph Smith, project director. The cost is $2 and seating is limited. Reservations are due Friday. Seniors over 60 are invited to join a penny ante poker group that meets at 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays. Euchre and bridge groups also are being organized; call for information. A western square dance class also is being formed and will begin in the fall with Norm Flavell as instructor.
