Sewing stores to benefit charities

The second annual Charming Quilt Shop Tour will be from Thursday through Sept. 1 at 10 participating stores. Proceeds will go to local charities of each shop’s choosing.

Shoppers will buy a passport for $2 at one of the stores. Passport holders will receive a free tote bag that will include chances to win prizes and more. The grand prize is a Viking H/Class 100Q sewing machine.

To qualify, visit each shop and turn in completed passports.

Free brochures are available at all of the stores and include all participating shop addresses and websites, contact information and store hours.

The shops are Cottonpickers, Chardon; Designers Two Quilt Shop, Quilting B’s and Quilter’s Fancy, all of Cortland; Just Quilt It, Warren; Megen’s Quilt Parlor, Albion, Pa.; Olive Grace Studios, Fowler; Shaffer’s Country Side Quilting, Sharpsville, Pa.; Shaker Tree, Garrettsville; and Viking White Sewing Center, Niles.
