Diocese gets stake in ‘GWTW’
ATLANTA
A relative of the late author Margaret Mitchell is giving the Archdiocese of Atlanta a 50 percent stake in the literary rights to her best-selling novel, “Gone With the Wind.”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the gift includes a 50 percent stake in the trademark to the book and items that belonged to Mitchell.
The bequest was made by Joseph Mitchell, nephew of the late author. Joseph Mitchell, who died in October, was a longtime member of the Cathedral of Christ the King.
Kevin Jonas, wife premiere reality show
NEW YORK
Viewers who tune in to Kevin Jonas’ new reality show with his wife, Danielle, will see a different side of the 24-year-old singer.
On “Married to Jonas,” Kevin jokes about sex and squabbles with Danielle. The show, which premieres at 10 p.m. Sunday on E!, isn’t about the Jonas brother who wore a purity ring and seemed too good to be true. This time, he seems more relatable.
Kevin says he viewed the show, produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, as an opportunity to show the public that he and Danielle are a normal couple.
“Doing a show like this, you kind of have to take it in stride, and we looked at it as an opportunity to show who we are as a couple without them making that decision for us,” he said during a recent interview.
