LOUIE TODAY: Ytown BOE, plane safety, Vindy editor, missing bulldog Mabel

It's Franko Friday on Brainfood From the Heartland as Vindicator Editor Todd  Franko co-hosts some segments with Vindy.com's news radio partner, Louie Free, on the news of the day, the week in review, the impact of the coming influx of federal dollars to the Valley and a look ahead at Sunday's Vindicator.

Also, Youngstown school board member Andrea Mahone will return for Part 2 with Louie about the successes and failures of the past school year and the latest Harwood Institute survey revealing the community's distrust of the board.

Louie also will talk with David Soucie author of "Why Planes Crash/ An Accident Investigator's Fight for Safe Skies." The book is a memoir of crashes and near-hits, and pain and redemption by a former aviation executive and FAA inspector.

And Brook Jillings will be talking about her family's bulldog Mabel, who was taken from their van while they ate as they traveled through the area en route to Idaho.
