Patrons enjoyed good food, music and entertainment during Boardman Quaker Steak and Lube’s Car Cruise Aug. 3.

“Every Friday night, we have a car cruise and we have a theme each week just to get people out each week. On average, we have about 100 cars come out. You definitely feel the energy when you walk in,” said Marketing and Activities Coordinator Lindsey Bickerstaff. Countless old-modeled vehicles lined up in the parking lot for everyone to enjoy. Some car owners were just excited to experience the camaraderie of other car lovers.

“I come out just for the good friends. I’ve always been a car enthusiast,” said Framk Ferro.

If cars were not enough to keep people excited throughout the event, Elvis Presley impersonator Mark Lee Pringle and his Blue Moon band surely did the trick.

Smiles covered the faces of people as Pringle paid homage to the late entertainer with his rendition of classic hits and electric dance moves.

The event not only gave the community an outlet to enjoy themselves, but also an opportunity to support a local family.

The restaurant held a 50/50 raffle and donated 100 percent of the proceeds to the Brett Wilcox Foundation.
