Salvation Army passing out backpacks

The Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., is distributing backpacks and school supplies to 400 pre-registered children Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The backpacks and school supplies will be provided free of charge to children entering kindergarten through eighth grade.
