Rotary district seeks applicants for exchange program in India
Rotary International District 6650 is seeking four professionals to visit India in mid-January through mid-February 2013 as part of the Group Study Exchange program of Rotary International Foundation.
The district covers 10 counties in east central Ohio, including Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana. Applicants, who should not be Rotary members, must be between 25 and 40 years old and be employed full time in a recognized business or profession. Applicants must be sponsored by a local Rotary club.

Through the program, teams of professionals led by a Rotary member exchange visits between paired areas in different countries. During the four-week visit, team members will share personal knowledge of their own country and experience the customs, vocations and lifestyles of another.
The purpose of the Group Study Exchange is to promote international understanding and goodwill through person-to-person contact. While abroad, team members will stay at Rotarians’ homes and meet their professional counterparts. They also will give presentations to Rotary clubs and other groups about America.
The Rotary International Foundation provides a round-trip air ticket and host Rotarians provide meals, lodging and group travel in their districts. Team members pay for personal and incidental expenses including passport, travel insurance and airport fees.
