POLICE CALLS

A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

Aug. 8

Arrest: Police arrested Anthony C. Ciccolelli, 20, of 7400 Cobblers Run Drive, Poland, on a warrant from Struthers Municipal Court charging him with contempt of court.

Aug. 9

Burglary: To a township garage, though the report did not list the address. Stolen was $12.

Theft: A Poland woman reported her purse stolen at a Center Road store.

Aug. 10

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged in the 3200 block of Dobbins Road.

Identity theft: A Christian Court woman discovered her identity had been compromised.

Aug. 12

Harassment: An Oak Drive man said a friend has been harassing him.

Aug. 13

Recovered property: A high-definition camera, $300 and numerous compact discs were recovered after two Center Road woman had reported them stolen.

Theft: Sixty Vicodin tablets were taken from a residence in the 5100 block of Center Road.

Recovered property: A checkbook, $162 and other items were found after a man in the 4900 block of Center Road said the property had been stolen.

BOARDMAN

Aug. 10

Misuse of a credit card: An employee with a Doral Drive business discovered his stolen debit card had been used without authorization at a township drugstore.

Criminal damaging: A man told police a tenant damaged a portion of rental property the accuser owns on Maple Avenue.

Theft: A 14-year-old Youngstown girl was charged, accused of stealing 22 articles of clothing from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road, before being released to the custody of her stepfather.

Theft: Amorniqua L. Lyons, 19, of 2430 Tyrell St., and Eboni T. Cruz, 25, of 847 Fairfax St., were charged. The two Youngstown women were accused of stealing roughly $290 worth of children’s clothing from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

Attempted burglary/criminal mischief: Someone tried to enter a home in the 7500 block of Hitchcock Road, where a car was found with its rear tires deflated.

Arrest: A traffic stop on Market Street led to 20-year-old Kevin M. Teague’s arrest. Teague, of 3007 Green Acres Drive, Liberty, was wanted by Trumbull County authorities on a probation-violation charge.

Harassment: A Boardman-Poland Road woman reported getting an unwanted call.

Menacing: A Tod Avenue woman told police someone came to her home and placed a photograph on the accuser’s vehicle in an attempt to harass her and cause the woman to fear for her safety.

Counterfeit: A phony $20 bill was passed at a Get Go gas station, 480 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Aug. 11

Theft: A man in his mid-30s stole $100 worth of merchandise from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: Youngstown police handed to Boardman authorities 32-year-old William T. Darkadakis of Flo-Lor Drive, Youngstown, who was wanted on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A family member alleged Darkadakis had taken and failed to return his Chevrolet Blazer.

Assault: A man alleged his son’s former girlfriend came to his Salinas Trail residence and punched his chest during an argument. The woman said she had been struck first.

Theft: A woman reported her son’s $250 cellphone stolen while he was attending football practice at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave.

Harassment: An Argyle Avenue woman said her former boyfriend made and sent numerous unwanted calls and text messages.

Arrests: Authorities at a Market Street gas station picked up 36-year-old Anna M. Jones, 237 E. Avondale Ave., Youngstown, on an assault charge after a woman alleged Jones had gotten out of a vehicle and punched her. Also arrested was Jermaine A. Jones, 36, of 536 Ferndale Ave., Youngstown, who was wanted on township warrants charging him with three counts of domestic violence and one of burglary.

Menacing: A student attending a township beauty academy reported a fellow student threatened to slap her face.

Fraud: A man at a U.S. Route 224 fitness center reported $42 and a debit card missing from his car, and that the card was used without consent at various Boardman stores.

Aug. 12

Theft: Michelle L. Moore, 46, of Akron was charged with stealing seven pairs of women’s jeans from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A tire and a rim were stolen off a car in the 1900 block of Mathews Road.

Criminal damaging: A portion of vinyl siding was damaged at a home in the 800 block of Wildwood Drive.

Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen at the Southern Park Mall.

Aggravated menacing: A worker for a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant told police someone threatened to blow up the eatery.

Aug. 13

Criminal damaging: A Prestwick Drive woman noticed a hole and cracks in her front-porch storm window.

Theft: A $100 display bicycle was stolen from Outdoor Recreational Equipment Inc., 5316 Market St.

Assault: Two men and a boy reported having been attacked at Southern Park Mall.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 7500 block of Market Street. Missing was $70.

Theft of services: Someone without authorization discarded a couch and a chair next to a trash container in the 4200 block of Lake Park Road.

Theft: Officers in the 700 block of Boardman-Canfield Road picked up 39-year-old Colin M. Brown, 116 S. Shore Drive, Boardman. He was wanted on a theft warrant.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a shed in the 10 block of Banbury Drive and removed a 22-inch lawn mower and a leaf blower.

Criminal damaging: A rental car in the 500 block of Afton Avenue was found with a scratch to its hood.

Theft: An Applecrest Court woman found out her debit card had been used without permission.

Aug. 14

Identity theft: An employee with a Market Street car dealership learned someone had made two unauthorized transactions totaling $1,314 to the account, one each from Baltimore and France.
